The opportunity

01 · CONTEXT

Three organisations needed to move to Cisco Webex Calling on overlapping timelines: Gwinnett County, the Georgia Emergency Management Agency, and SHI.

The work spanned centralised management portal configuration, communication interface setup, migration strategy, PSTN connectivity, and a full unified communications audit. Each organisation carried different legacy constraints and different definitions of done.

Delivered on a time and materials Statement of Work across four months with a team of four covering project management, network engineering, security, and support.

Three parallel workstreams, each scoped to its own organisation but sharing a common design and testing discipline.

PH 01

Gwinnett County: Control Hub and go-live

  • Control Hub configured as the centralised management portal for the Webex Calling environment
  • User provisioning, policy configurations, and global settings established
  • Local Gateway SIP configured to bridge on-premises infrastructure and the Webex cloud
  • Thorough testing completed before transition to go-live
  • Solution deployed to 12 designated departments
  • Troubleshooting plan implemented for Webex Calling and Cisco Unified Border Element
PH 02

GEMA: migration strategy and design

  • Requirements expanded collaboratively with customer personnel
  • Detailed migration strategy documented with diagrams, charts, and configuration specifics
  • Actions, responsibilities, testing, and rollback and contingency plans defined
  • DID schemes, password schemes, and configuration details collected
  • PSTN connections configured, tested, and verified
PH 03

GEMA: deployment and cutover

  • Customer Control Hub deployed
